Now it's two to eight.

To continue..............….we moved from Taipei out to San Diego, California, for which I'm eternally grateful to my parents because I am very happy that I've been nurtured in the laid back lifestyle of Southern California. We lived in Rancho Bernardo for many years before we suddenly moved to Del Mar in the middle of fifth grade. I attended Skyline Elementary for a semester and then moved on to La Jolla Country Day, which would become my school from the sixth grade on through high school.

After high school, I emerged with half decent grades so even when all my reach schools rejected me (Duke, Rice), I still had some decent choices available. Eventually the choices came down to UCLA or Michigan. I knew nothing about Michigan (aside from the Fab Five) and wasn't particularly fond of it but I visited UCLA and didn't like the city atmosphere and decided I needed a real "college campus" so off to Michigan I went.

After an amazing four years there, I decided to take off early (much to my parents chagrin) and go to New York to seek fame and fortune, or at least a job and a direction. Many of my friends ended up in New York so I decided that since I would never want to live on the East Coast permanently, coming now was my only chance to experience the lifestyle. I plan on going back to the West Coast (LA or San Francisco) in a year or so but who can really plan the future anyway?

The reason this site is called "Apollo's World" is because my middle name is An but I once told a friend that the "a" stood for Apollo and she thought that it was a funny name so I've used it ever since. I hope you enjoy looking around the site. Drop me some feedback if you are inclined to do so. If not, well….........….(in the parlance of a friend).............….."boo on that". Take care all.

Oh, I should probably point out that all the business about my parents expecting two boys isn't true. They knew they would be lucky enough to get a boy/girl combination all along. My sister's real name is Georgette but everyone gets confused so we call her George. You should see some people try to remember that name. Once, some guy trying to woo her (don't u like that word? Woo?) called asking for a "Jor-jeet" and it made me laugh like crazy. She used to use a pseudonym (like Susan or Jenny) at Jamba Juice and take-out places so they wouldn't mess up her name. I was pretty amused when I first found that out. Yeah, i'm stupid, i know. George is now a very successful accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in San Jose after graduating on the Dean's List from SDSU. Wanna guess who's the black sheep?
